About CBS Partners
Cross Border Search Partners Ltd (“we”, “CBS Partners”, “CBS”) is an executive search and recruitment company that provides recruitment services to international corporations across EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific regions.

Why we need your data and what we do with it
In order to fulfil these services we need access to your personal data in order to assess your suitability for one or more search mandates. Our consultants will receive a written and / or verbal briefing from a client company and we will review your data to enable us to make an informed decision whether your profile makes you a suitable match for the search mandate.

This data will contain information on contact details (telephone, email, postal address etc), academic achievements, employment experiences, compensation details and achievements as well as examples of behaviours in specific situations. We might also seek consent to accumulate further information from third parties, such as referees or previous line managers.

We will not request or store sensitive (or special category data) such as information relating to gender, marital status, age, race, ethnic origin, politics, religion, trade union membership, genetics, biometrics (where used for ID purposes), health, sex life or sexual orientation. We urge you not to voluntarily offer this information to CBS or anyone else.

We will also ask permission to retain your private data indefinitely.  If new recruitment mandates arise in the future we will contact you again to gain your consent to share your CV and personal details and, if you wish, give you the opportunity to update the personal details that we hold about you.

Before sharing your CV or private data with another party such as a client contact we will contact you to gain your consent. We reserve the right to share your data with trusted suppliers (for example a research provider with whom we collaborated on numerous occasions on a long-term basis) if the “data processors” within the third party supplier can demonstrate compliance with our own data privacy policy.

All confidential information will be stored within a secure online database provided by Zoho Recruit and all files (e.g. CVs, references, covering letters) will be stored within a highly secure cloud storage solution provided by Tresorit. The personal data held by Zoho and Tresorit will be stored within data centres located in the EU and will not be transferred outside of the EU without your consent. The transfer of your personal data to a client contact will be achieved using an encrypted secure portal. More details about our data storage solutions can be found here: Tresorit and Zoho. Our data privacy policy identifies the risks and necessary controls at each stage of our working processes enabling compliance with GDPR legislation.

Cross Border Search Partners Ltd is the “data controller” of the personal data and our consultants are the “data processors”.  If you decide to become a candidate you are a “data subject" and it is your individual right to data privacy that needs to be upheld by CBS and its consultants.  We take your privacy very seriously.  Your data will not be used for non-recruitment processes and will not be shared with third parties.
